Here are some tips on how to play Timber Creek tips that will be particularly helpful for your first round. So print this page and bring it with you on your initial visit! All yardage below is measured from the championship (black) tees.

#1 - Par 5, 477 yds., dogleg left
It's your first shot of the day, so why not grip it and rip it! But be careful, there's out-of-bounds to the left. This long hole has a bunker on the left at the midpoint and two bunkers flanking the large green.

#2 - Par 3, 205 yds.
A straightforward par 3, so collect your birdie or par now, you're gonna need it.

#3 - 4, 410 yds.
This hole jumps a creek in front of the green, with the greens tucked into the woods that lead to the fourth tee. Out-of-bounds all along the left. This hole has two greens, so look for the left or right green. The left green is 50 yards shorter, but is very steep. The right green lies tight to the creek.

#4 - Par 4, 390 yds., dogleg left
After coming up the path to the fourth tee, play a bit to the right to get an angle to the green. But watch out for a bunker on that side. When you get to the green, stop and admire the view, since you’re on one of the highest points in the area!

#5 - Par 4, 385 yds., dogleg right
This hole bends a bit to the right. The green is sheltered by trees and guarded by a pond and bunker to the left.

#6 - Par 3, 170 yds.
You’ll be hitting to one-half of the first double green in Minnesota (the green is shared with #12). But don’t worry, there’s plenty of room on the green for you to hit to.

#7 - Par 4, 405 yds.
A long straightaway par 4. A long tee shot gives you a downhill lie to a well-bunkered, elevated green. Also watch out for the pond to the left.

#8 - Par 5, 515 yds.
You can let it all out on this tee, because it's straight and full-speed ahead. Not much trouble, with the exception of a bunker along the right. Beware of the two pot bunkers in front of the green.

#9 - Par 4, 385 yds.
The finishing hole for the front nine is a straight shot back to the clubhouse. The tee shot requires a carry over a pond to the fairway. Take note of the bunkers guarding the green, especially the long one at the front left. The green is sloped from left to right and back to front.

#10 - Par 4, 376 yds.
This green is nestled beautifully in a stand of trees, with two bunkers flanking in front. From here, you'll head up the path again (hang a right halfway up), and you'll find the 11th tee.

#11 - Par 4, 354 yds., dogleg left
Play to the right to get a nice angle to the green—and to get a great view of the scenery between the trees to your right.

#12 - Par 4, 344 yds., sharp dogleg right
After you tee off from the shadows of towering trees, you'll be headed back to our famous double green. Make sure you steer clear of the three pot bunkers about three-fourths of the way down the fairway. Some golfers try to cut the corner—a lot have tried and a lot have died. The best tee shot is to lay up 170 yards in the center of the fairway.

#13 - Par 5, 540 yds., dogleg right
This hole features a sharp dogleg to the right and a less severe dogleg to the left as you approach the green. Dense woods all along the left side and bunkers to the right. This hole demands good length and accuracy.

#14 - Par 3, 205 yds.
Large green with elevated tee. Yardage can vary from 140 to 210 yards depending on where you hit from.

#15 - Par 5, 540 yds.
If you’re playing the back two tees, you're hitting over marsh grass to get to the fairway. After that, it's straight on to the green. Guard against wetlands along the entire left side and a fairway bunker to the right.

#16 - Par 3, 150 yds.
You have to play this shot over water and a front bunker to get safely near the pin.  A good birdie possibility.  On your way to the green, cross over the creek on our enclosed bridge with a cupola.

#17 - Par 4, 410 yds., right dogleg
You’ll have to carefully place your drive to avoid the water. This is a long hole when you're hitting into a southwest wind to an uphill slope, so get your par and head home.

#18 - Par 4, 410 yds.
This is a long finishing hole—uphill to a well-bunkered, elevated green.
